Laparoscopic surgical products - A division of a Fortune 500 healthcare company deployed several engineers and a strategic marketing specialist in an innovation team to develop a minimally invasive cardiac surgery product. Access Information Services supported the team with clinical research and analysis, patent due diligence, identification of current and potential competitors in addition to specific technical research in support of product design and materials selection.
The resulting product won first place in a 1998 medical design competition, was first to market and has been the market share leader since.
